Short Bio

Peter Dawes is President and Chief Executive Officer of Moser Energy Systems. Prior to joining Moser, Peter was President and Chief Operating Officer of Capco, LLC, a Tier 1 U.S. Military supplier. Prior to that, he served as President of Global Power’s Mechanical Solutions Group, a power generation equipment and service provider. Earlier in his career, he held various positions with GE Aircraft Engines, ABB Power Generation, and Exterran. Peter holds BA and BS degrees from the University of Notre Dame, an MS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Peter Dawes is President and Chief Executive Officer of Moser Energy Systems. He has more than 35 years of experience developing and executing strategies to transform and improve performance, profitability, business operations, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Prior to joining Moser, Peter was President and Chief Operating Officer of Capco, LLC, a Tier 1 US Military supplier. Prior to that, he served as President of Global Power’s Mechanical Solutions Group, a power generation equipment and service provider. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility at GE Aircraft Engines, ABB Power Generation, and Exterran. In 2010, Peter founded the Whistling Rock Group, which provides interim CEO/Operating Partner services and advisory services on strategy development, market positioning and growth, and product insights to various industries. He has served as a board member for Advance Casper, Technical Diagnostic Services, Composotech Structures, Bringing Music to Life, the American Diabetes Association (as Chairperson), and JDRF Rocky Mountain.

Peter holds BS (Mechanical Engineering) and BA (History) degrees from the University of Notre Dame, an MS (Aerospace Engineering) degree from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (lapsed) and certified Project Management Professional and holds two US patents. Outside of work, Peter is an avid reader, accomplished musician, and former champion in both wrestling and tennis. He also enjoys the outdoors, cycling and hiking (summiting over half of the tallest peaks in the continental US).
